Assignment 5 - Reading in the Science Classroom
Part One:
In the knowledge section of Standard 19 of the Illinois Science
Core Standards, 8 different indicators are listed. (See below.)
Your assignment is to write a poem
that addresses each of these 8 indicators. No... we are not
kidding! The poem should indicate that you understand the topic but
does not need to be lengthy. Extra
credit for anyone who puts it to music and is willing to perform
their opus magnum in class.

Part Two:
If you currently do not have an annotated bibliography started
for your portfolio, start one now by describing the urls listed for
today's class in three or four sentences each. Include your opinion of
whether the particular url is useful now, has the potential or is a
waste of time. If the url has a bit of info that you find particularly
useful, copy it directly into your biblio because some sites are
ephemeral. Use this information to finish the exercise from class where
you were asked to develop a reading lesson plan to teach the article
from Science. Hand this in next time and be prepared to present your
reading lesson.
