Self-Evaluation
Purpose: In class we
reviewed several class management styles. You will eventually develop
one of your own. During your 401 clinical and during student teaching
you will try several styles to see which one "fits best." Therefore, it
is important to do a self-evaluation and figure out which styles you
think will work best for you and which ones you would like to
experiment with. Please keep in mind that data show that some
styles are more effective than others. You will need to do a bit of
research to find out which ones these are. Do not waste your time
"experimenting" with ineffective methodologies.
Instructions: Please
write a standard
reflection paper addressing which style fits you best, which style you
would like to try and why and which styles have been shown to be most
effective. Please use the standard reflection
paper guidelines.
Evaluation: Your work
will be evaluated using the standard reflection
paper rubric. When done completely, this assignment will meet the
ISBE core standards on instructional delivery and classroom management.
