Eric H. Foster Degree: Bachelor’s of Microbiology, with minor in Chemistry from Northern Illinois University Research Interests: I am a graduate student at Northern Illinois University working towards my Master’s degree. I hope to study what sorts of microbes live and thrive on the effluent gasoline from the leaky underground containers at gas stations, and if these microbes may be used to prevent the leaks from seeping into the groundwater and in spill remediation. How Did I Get Here? I’ve always been interested in understanding and preserving the world around us. While getting my Microbiology degree, I found Dr. Lenczewski’s Geomicrobiology class, which showed me a way to combine my love of the environment with my knowledge of microbiology. After finishing my Bachelor’s in Microbiology, I joined the Geology department to work on my Master’s degree. Other Links: http://www.bios.niu.edu/cpw/index.html Publications: Coming Soon...
