VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP

Photo of Snow covered Mount Fuji with famous cherry blossoms on right side
This virtual field trip has been designed for a ninth grade earth science class for use during a volcano unit.  The geologic history of Mount Fuji is provided as well as worksheets, a field trip guidebook, volcano webquest, and teacher's manual.  I have also provided information for actual travel to Japan with examples from my own trip.

I have developed an electronic portfolio of my teaching experiences and related philosophies.  Teaching and learning standards established by the state of Illinois and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) have been used to structure for my portfolio, and it contains several samples of my work.

Anyone interested in obtaining a sample before it is added to this site can contact me at mdare@niu.edu
